The book of Job 33:14 states, “For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.”
This emphasizes the idea that God is constantly communicating with us, but it is up to us to understand His language. Job 33:15-16 “In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumbering’s upon the bed; then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction”. These elaborate on the methods through which God communicates with us, mentioning dreams and visions as ways in which He imparts knowledge and guidance to mankind.
The book of Numbers 12:6 reaffirms the notion that God speaks through dreams, particularly even to prophets. When the Holy Spirit dwells within an individual, dreams often become a common occurrence. Acts 2:17 speaks of the pouring out of the Spirit in the last days, leading to prophetic dreams and visions. Dreaming is seen as a sign of divine presence and communication. The stories of Job, Abraham, Jacob, and Joseph in the Bible highlight the significance of dreams as a powerful medium through which God reveals His plans and instructions to His people.
Be grateful and thankful if you are a dreamer; let us look at Jacob from the book of Genesis. Jacob had a prophetic dream where he saw angels ascending and descending on a ladder with God at the top. He recognized the significance of the dream and named the place Bethel (meaning House of God), acknowledging that God was present in that place. Similarly, Jacob’s son Joseph also had prophetic dreams that required interpretation. As a believer, you need to learn to take dreams seriously and recognize the potential significance they may hold.
Do not take dreams lightly, as they can hold valuable messages and insights from God. Ignoring or misinterpreting these dreams can lead to missed opportunities or delays in one’s path. The scripture discusses how Joseph ended up in a pit and later in Egypt due to his inability to interpret his dreams. It highlights the importance of understanding and perceiving God’s messages to avoid unnecessary delays in one’s journey. In Joseph’s case, had he interpreted his dreams correctly, he may have avoided certain hardships and delays in his life. It serves as a reminder that it is crucial to listen and understand the signs and messages that are sent our way in order to stay on the right path.
Let us look at 1 Kings 3:5-15, Solomon receives wisdom and riches from God in a dream, this symbolizes the importance of how lives can be formed in dreams. The story of Solomon demonstrates the power of dreams and how crucial it is for one not to ignore or dismiss the messages. It is also important to pay attention to the dreams and messages received by your children, as they may hold significance as well.
The Bible states that God speaks through dreams, so stop searching for His voice in the wrong places. While worship can lead to encounters with God, it is important to use the word of God to truly understand Him and not rely solely on personal experiences. Dreams are not just products of imagination, but rather a form of revelation that can offer guidance and answers to physical issues. When we dream, our souls detach from our physical bodies and enter the spiritual realm, with a magnetic connection keeping them linked. For those who believe in God, dreams can serve as a helpful tool for navigating new seasons in life and making wise choices.
Now there are people according to scriptures they are dreamers of dreams (Deuteronomy 13:1), but being a dreamer does not necessarily mean that one is close to God. Accessing the spiritual realm does not guarantee closeness to God, as even witches and wizards can do so. The key to being closer to God is through HIS WORD. Dreamers must pay attention to certain things in their dreams, as God communicates through dreams and visions in the current time.
Every prophetic dreamer has a lifestyle, which is:
1. They love God’s presence; you can be in the spirit but far from God, seeking His presence is important.
2. They love revelation. They love to know the purpose and will of God in that dream.
3. They have sanctified imaginations. That is because they understand they can capture realities in the physical that they can carry with them into the dream world. You do this by exercising Romans 12: 1-2 the Bible says you are not to be conformed by the standard of this world but are to be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
4. They love it when people start asking them concerning dream interpretation.
5. A prophetic dreamer pays attention to the ministry of angels.
6. A prophetic dreamer is prophetic, meaning they understand that not all dreams are from God.
7. A prophetic dreamer always surrounds themselves with prophetic people.
It is important to be mindful of what you expose yourself to before bedtime as it can affect your dreams.
* Our eyes and ears are spiritual gates through which what we see and hear enters our spirit, so it is important to protect them and be selective about our surroundings and influences.
* The spiritual realm is influenced by various factors such as knowledge, people around you, and inspiration drawn from your surroundings.
* Your choices and activities, including the colors you are drawn to, can also affect your dreams.
Dreams have more than 66 meanings, and it is important to consider the context of the dream rather than just focusing on one interpretation. Understanding dreams is crucial in discerning messages from God and preparing for future events. Through this teaching, be advised that even if everything seems fine in life, dreams showing conflicts may indicate spiritual warfare and potential trouble ahead. It is important to pray and take action to reverse any negative signs revealed in a dream. Interpreting dreams involves analyzing the entire context of the dream, including the beginning, middle, and end. Just as numbers and colors hold much importance in dreams, understanding the meaning of numbers and colors can help one to interpret dreams.
